Game Rules

• Two 20-Minute halves. The halves are “running clock, “ except for the final two minutes of each half, then the clock will stop for all dead balls. Clock does not stop during free throw except in final two minutes of each half.

• Timeouts - Each team is allowed two 30 second timeouts per half. Use it or lose it.

• Overtime - If the score is tied at the end of regulation, a 3 - minute overtime will occur. Overtime will be a “running clock”, except for the final minute of overtime, when the clock will stop for all dead balls. Each team will be granted one timeout per overtime and any unused timeouts from regulation can be carried into overtime.

• Game starts on a jumb ball, alternate possession after opening jump ball.

• Halftime is 2 minutes.

• Fouls - A player fouls out of the game with 5 personal fouls. When a team reaches 7 team fouls. The opposing team shoots the bonus (1 and 1). With 10 team fouls, the opposing team shoots the double bonus (2 free throws)

• All flagrant fouls are considered technical fouls

• All technical fouls are 2 free throws and possession.

• Full Court Press is allowed. Once a team is up by 15 points. NO more pressing allowed unless lead goes back under 15 points. 1st time is a warning, 2nd time is a technical foul.

• A 10 second back court rule will be in effect. That is, the offense will have 10 seconds to cross half court.

• 5 seconds possession rule is in effect. When defender within 5 feet of defender offensive player has 5 seconds.

• There is no shot clock

With regards to other rules, the game will be officiated in accordance with CIF rules
