Player Age or Eligibility Clarification

Are kids allowed to “play up” or “play down” but its reviewed on a case by case basis the final word of weather there allowed to move up or down is based on there skill. We do allow more skilled players to play up or players who struggle to play down a division. All decisions regarding playing up or down will be made by basketball operations Ari Pagan

Team Placement Policy / Friend Requests

We’ll do our best to accommodate friend or sibling request per player (same grade division only). Requests are not guaranteed. To make a request you will fill it out on the notes section of registration.

Practices:

Practice day assignment:

When Registering for the season you will see a few options on specific days and times open for practices. Select at least 2 days of the week you are available. We will take this into consideration when making teams after evaluations. You’ll practice same day every week.

What to wear to practice:

Please show up in athletic shorts, t-shirt, and basketball/athletic shoes, and bring a water bottle.

When to show up:

Show up no earlier than 10 minutes prior to your practice as a group will be using the facilities before you.

Players will enter through the gym doors not the main clubhouse doors.

What to expect:

First day of the practice coaches will huddle all the players together. The coach will introduce themselves and all players will introduce themselves to the team. Once we’ve learned each others names will hit the court and work on skill building.

Iron sharpens Iron:

Our league is built on community and so our are practices. Will have multiple teams in the gym at once training on there own separate baskets. Kids don’t just see each other at games but at practices to! First 30 minutes will be on building up skills with drills. The last 30 minutes of practice will put our skills to the test. Best way to learn basketball is by playing it.

“You can’t learn to play basketball against a chair. The chair doesn’t move, doesn’t reach, doesn’t steal the ball.” - John Calipari (one of the most successful College basketball coaches)
