📍 Evaluation Day – September 27th

Location: Choose the Clubhouse where you’d like to practice :

• Village Boys & Girls Club (3115 ROOSEVELT ST)

• Bressi Ranch Boys & Girls Club (2730 BRESSI RANCH WAY)

Times by Grade Level:

• 1st–2nd Grade: 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM

• 3rd–4th Grade: 11:15 AM – 12:15 PM

• 5th–6th Grade: 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM

✅ You’ll receive an email later that evening with your child’s team roster, coach information, and full season schedule.

📅 Important Dates

• Practices Begin: Week of September 29

• First Game: October 4

• Playoffs / Final Day: November 15

  League Overview

Practices:

• Once per week on a weekday

• Choose your preferred practice day and location during registration

• Times: 5:30–6:30 PM or 6:30–7:30 PM

Games:

• Every Saturday at either the Village or Bressi Ranch Clubhouse

• Game times vary depending on number of teams

• You will be guaranteed 7 games along with playoffs

Typical Saturday Game Times:

• 1st–2nd Grade: 9:00 AM, 10:00AM, 11:00 AM

• 3rd–4th Grade: 12:00 PM, 1:00PM, 2:00 PM

• 5th–6th Grade: 3:00 PM, 4:00PM, 5:00 PM

👕 Uniforms

• Jerseys will be handed out on Game Day 1

• Keep track of your jersey! If lost, there’s a $50 replacement fee

• The jersey is yours to keep after the season ends

🏆 Playoff Information – November 15th

• Single-elimination format: lose and you're out; win and keep playing

• Max 3 games in one day

There will be Team Pictures, Food, Games, Gift Bags, and more!

📲 Team Communication via TeamSnap

We use TeamSnap for all team communication. Once teams are formed, you’ll receive an invite to join your child’s team on the app.

TeamSnap will be used for:

• Practice & game reminders

• Schedule updates or changes

• Coach messages

• Weather-related notifications

• RSVPs for games & practices

Coaches

All of our coaches and referees are professionally hired staff—no parent volunteers or outside referees. Our coaches are trained to focus on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship for every child, while our referees are certified and committed to making sure every game is fair and fun.

You can count on a safe, consistent, and positive experience every week—on the court and on the sidelines.

Financial Aid

To apply for financial aid scroll to the top of the page and click the link Financial Aid. From there you will fill out all the forms needed to apply. Once you do you will receive an email from athletics@bgccarlsbad.org with confirmation on how much aid you will receive. You will receive a promo code and enter that when registering to apply the discount. If you have any further questions about financial aid please email athletics@bgccarlsbad.org

Player Age or Eligibility Clarification

Are kids allowed to “play up” or “play down” but its reviewed on a case by case basis the final word of weather there allowed to move up or down is based on there skill. We do allow more skilled players to play up or players who struggle to play down a division. All decisions regarding playing up or down will be made by basketball operations Ari Pagan

Team Placement Policy / Friend Requests

🤝 We’ll do our best to accommodate friend or sibling request per player (same grade division only). Requests are not guaranteed. To make a request you will fill it out on the notes section of registration.

Refund Policy

💸 Refunds available until January 10th, minus a $15 processing fee. No refunds issued after evaluations.
