Orange Division (1st–2nd Grade): 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Blue Division (3rd–4th Grade): 11:15 AM – 12:15 PM
White Division (5th–6th Grade): 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM

No game May 23rd for Memorial Day Weekend. Practices will still be held that week.
League Overview
Practices: WE ARE CHANGING THE WAY THAT WE DO PRACTICE SELECTION! PLEASE READ BELOW.
YBL is moving to a choice based system for practices now. During registration there will be multiple practice days listed, and you will choose one of the options as a PRIMARY practice day. From there we will make teams based on that choice and coaching and buddy requests. With the growth of the league one thing we really want to improve on is our practice format. With this change we will have multiple teams in the gym at one time for a more collabartative practice. Players will still have time eith their teams each practice to work on team-based things. Things like skill work and speed and agility will be done all together. This gives our athletes access to more competition and the ability to scrimmage 5-on-5 during practices. It also allows players access to multiple coaches, not just their teams coach. We have throughly thought about this decision and are excited for the change.
Games:
Every Saturday at either the Village or Bressi Ranch Clubhouse
Game times vary depending on number of teams
You will be guaranteed 7 games along with playoffs
Typical Saturday Game Times:
Orange Division (1st–2nd Grade): 9:30 AM, 10:30AM, 11:30 AM
Blue Division (3rd–4th Grade): 12:30 PM, 1:30PM, 2:30 PM
White Division (5th–6th Grade): 3:30 PM, 4:30PM, 5:30 PM
👕Jerseys: THERE IS A CHANGE HERE AS WELL PLEASE READ
Jerseys are not included in registraion and can be purchased for an addtional $50
We will be weating the same jerseys for multiple seasons so no need to get a new one every time
they will be handed out either at evaluations or the first day of practice

We use TeamSnap for all team communication. Once teams are formed, you’ll receive an invite to join your child’s team on the app.

Coaches
All of our coaches and referees are professionally hired staff—no parent volunteers or outside referees. Our coaches are trained to focus on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship for every child, while our referees are certified and committed to making sure every game is fair and fun.
You can count on a safe, consistent, and positive experience every week—on the court and on the sidelines.
Financial Aid
To apply for financial aid scroll to the top of the page and click the link Financial Aid. From there you will fill out all the forms needed to apply. Once you do you will receive an email from athletics@bgccarlsbad.org with confirmation on how much aid you will receive. You will receive a promo code and enter that when registering to apply the discount. If you have any further questions about financial aid please email athletics@bgccarlsbad.org
Player Age or Eligibility Clarification
Are kids allowed to “play up” or “play down” but its reviewed on a case by case basis the final word of weather there allowed to move up or down is based on there skill. We do allow more skilled players to play up or players who struggle to play down a division. All decisions regarding playing up or down will be made by basketball operations Ari Pagan
Team Placement Policy / Friend Requests
🤝 We’ll do our best to accommodate friend or sibling request per player (same grade division only). Requests are not guaranteed. To make a request you will fill it out on the notes section of registration.
Refund Policy
💸 Refunds available until April 18th, minus a $15 processing fee.
